The Red River Riding Association was established in August 1984 by about 10 interested horse crazy people. At the beginning of the next year the Association began to grow. In a short period of time the membership and enthusiasm of horse people began to pop up everywhere. We decided to name our organization the Red River Riding Association because of the response of horse people from both Texas and Oklahoma. Our membership has grown tremendously.
The RRRA is a family-oriented organization, promoting education, sportsmanship, and fun for all horse loving people. We ride in playdays, trail rides, parades, rodeos, set pivots, camp outs and just some good-ole get together rides.
Our meetings are the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month at 7 PM. They are held at our arena located on FM 1177, just outside Burkburnett TX, unless otherwise notified.
