After enjoying our pot luck dinner, the meeting was called to order by President Becky King @ 7:00 PM.
Members present included Becky King, Kathy Dickey, Jaydon Dickey, Carol &Travis Ober, Katrina Wood, Pat and Ayana Mitchell, Benny Vasquez, Ricky, Shanay Thomas and Shaelyn. Also present was Ronny Stolper and Mary Roland who were voted in as new members as well as the Hammock family.
OLD BUSINESS: Minutes from March meeting were read and approved.
The next Playday will be May 6th .
The Vernon Parade is May 17th. We will meet at noon at the KOA.
Discussed a horse/tack sale at the arena. Horses must have a negative coggins test. Owners would pay a fee to RRRA to sell. All sales will be between owners and buyers, not the RRRA. A fee also would be charged to sell tack. We would run a concession. July 1 is the tentative date.
we rescheduled the Drillteam practice to April 16th. The drillteam will wear regular club uniforms to ride in parades, and change to drillteam costume to peform or set pivots.
NEW BUSINESS: Becky moved to give membership fee to Ricky and Shay in return for the wonderful job they do with mowing and plowing. Sabrina seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
We discussed the rescheduling of th April playday which was cancelled due to rain. After much discussion, Pat motioned to set it for June 10. The motion was seconded by Kathy and passed unanimously.
We plan to set up a trailride to benefit St. Judes June 25th @ 2 pm. Becky will check with Perkins Camp for availability.
A work schedule for the Jr. Rodeo will be assigned the next meeting. The rodeo is scheduled for May 13th. It will start at 10 am. Workers need to arrive by 8 am. Kids may sign up for jackpot OR buckle/award--Not both.
With no further business, a motion to close was made by Travis Ober and seconded by Kathy Dickey.
#1 WORKDAYS FOR NEXT YEAR TO QUALIFY TO BE A MEMBER: Each Family will sign up at the awards banquet to take care of a section of the arena all year as a member.
All meetings will be changed to the 1st Monday of the month @ 7pm. Any other meetings will be decided by the President.
At each meeting will be a pot -luck dinner so no one has to eat late or miss a meal.
AGAIN WHEN YOU JOIN UP TO THE ASSOCIATION TO BE A MEMBER YOU ARE TO ABIDE BY THE RULES TO QUALIFY FOR ANY KIND OF BENEFITS THE CLUB HAS TO OFFER
