(Pot Luck Dinner)BRING ANYTHING YOU LIKE AND A SMILE!
After enjoying our pot luck dinner, the meeting was called to order by President Becky King @ 7:00 PM.
Members present included Becky King, Kathy Dickey, Jaydon and Lexi Dickey, Carol &Travis Ober, Katrina and Sara Wood, Benny Vasquez, Dan, Amber and Cambreigh Dilts, Gaylan White, Shanea Thomas, Dale Lyon, Terry & Ashley Johnson, and our stock contractor, Dell Rhodes.
OLD BUSINESS: Minutes from June meeting were read and approved.
The club welcomed the Dilts, Rhonda Clark, Gaylon White and Dusty as duly voted in new members.
It was announced that our club had won 1st place and set pivots in the Archer City Parade.
The Horse and Tack sale was cancelled due to weather and has been rescheduled for August 19th starting at 8:00 am.
TOBRA will have a barrel race at the RRRA on July 23rd. Volunteers are needed to run concessions.
The Beauty and the Beast event will be held at The RRRA on July 29th. They will charge a $60 fee to ride. Again, we need volunteers for concessions.
Concerning the Boomtown Rodeo, Dell Rhodes in our new stock contractor. We discussed the line-up. The only extra events will be the Pony Express and the Adult Calf Scramble. Becky provided a list of events. The rodeo will be the 8th and 9th of September. Our parade is scheduled for Saturday September 9th @ 4PM. We will start each day with 6 and under mutton busting at 7 PM.
We will participate in the Walters Parade July 13th. we will meet at the KOA at 3 PM. Also the Seymour Parade Sat. July 15th, meeting @ KOA at 2PM.
The Drillteam is now open to all ages
Our next playday is Sept. 2nd, register at 1, ride at 2 PM. Remember, we will have 2 playdays in September, so we will have one on the 23rd as well.
With no further business to discuss, Travis Ober moved to adjourn, and Shanea seconded the motion.
#1 WORKDAYS FOR NEXT YEAR TO QUALIFY TO BE A MEMBER: Each Family will sign up at the awards banquet to take care of a section of the arena all year as a member.
All meetings will be changed to the 1st Monday of the month @ 7pm. Any other meetings will be decided by the President.
At each meeting will be a pot -luck dinner so no one has to eat late or miss a meal.
AGAIN WHEN YOU JOIN UP TO THE ASSOCIATION TO BE A MEMBER YOU ARE TO ABIDE BY THE RULES TO QUALIFY FOR ANY KIND OF BENEFITS THE CLUB HAS TO OFFER
